The Honeoye Falls-Lima Communications Office promotes a mindset of two-way communication between our schools and community and maintains the philosophy that open communication is vital to the success of our schools.

Our District's Exit Level Standards require that our students be effective communicators. To achieve this goal, we must model effective communication in our own work. Each member of our District is responsible for being an effective communicator, and we believe that excellence in communication is a team effort.

The responsibilities of the Communications Office are diverse. Under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools, the Communication Specialist produces the District newsletter (Inside HF-L), develops materials for special events and presentations, maintains District level information on the District website, and writes press releases for publication in local media and on the HF-L website. The Communication Specialist also assists staff members in their efforts to highlight classroom and building level activities in the media and in District publications. The Communication Specialist serves as the key contact person for media and community.
