Instrumental Music Program Wins Grand Sweepstakes Award

The Honeoye Falls – Lima School District is pleased to announce that the HF-L High School instrumental music program has been again been recognized for excellence by Music Festivals, Inc.  Under the direction of instrumental music teacher, Mark Borden, the HF-L Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble combined to win the Music Festivals National Grand Sweepstakes Award.  These two groups, combined, received the highest score of any school nationwide in the 29 different festivals sponsored by Music Festivals, Inc.  This is the second consecutive time these instrumental music groups have received this award.  They received the same award in 2006, the last time the bands competed.
