Re: Board Leadership Action in HF-L

PRESS RELEASE

The HF-L Board of Education unanimously approved continuing the current board officers for the 2009-10 school year during its annual reorganization meeting on July 7, 2009.
Dick Rasmussen, president of the board since 2005, will continue in that same role.  Robert Willison, first elected Vice-President in 2007, will continue in his role.
Dick Rasmussen will also serve as Vice-President of the Monroe County School Boards Association to which he was elected at their annual meeting on May 27, 2009.
Laurene Hoffman took her Oath of Office for a three-year term as a newly elected board member won by voter approval in May 2009.
In other business, the board designated M&T Bank in Honeoye Falls as their lead official bank.  Tax collections will be moved from the District Office to Five Star Bank in Honeoye Falls.
The Board of Education also approved a long-range Master Facilities Plan that has been in development since 2007.  The first phase of the plan is anticipated to be presented for voter approval in early December and would have no local tax impact.
