The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction’s main responsibility is to ensure the continued improvement of the instructional program of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District. The Strategic Plan guides us in our improvement efforts and benchmarks our student achievement goals.
Dr. Williams joined HF-L in 2004 bringing a deep knowledge of instructional pedagogy and research to the role. Dr. Williams became the sixth teacher in New York State to receive National Board Certification in teaching Early Adolescent English Language Arts. She has returned to classrooms to teach students to maintain this certification. Getting back into classrooms to teach alongside HF-L faculty she believes is a critical component for leading instruction. Since 2010, Dr. Williams has been meeting with groups of students in focus groups to get their perspective on education at HF-L. This information is also part of the data set used to evaluate programs.
Dr. Williams oversees the K-12 instructional program, assessments, adherence to State Education Department regulations, data warehouse reporting, residency, homeschool students, federal grants, program evaluations, and the work of the Instructional Leadership Council. Williams oversees the Director of Professional Development, Director of Technology, Director of Health, Physical Education and Health, Director of Community Education, Standards Coordinators, Registrar, Dignity for All Students (DASA) reporting, homeless students, and school librarians.
She is proud to be a member of the community with her two daughters graduating from HF-L.
