Your Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District Board of Education cordially invites you to take an active role in the educational affairs of our community. There are multiple ways to get involved, including:
Public Budget Advisory Council (PBAC)
The PBAC includes community members, Board of Education members and District advisors who meet weekly from January through mid-March to review, offer feedback and make recommendations regarding all of the programs and services being recommended for the upcoming school year based on information from each site. The PBAC advises the District and Board of Education as to the strategic wisdom of program proposals, as well as the affordability of those proposals. SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET VOTE AND BOARD MEMBER ELECTIONS
The Budget Vote & Board Election are rescheduled for June 9. BOE candidates must submit a letter of intent by Monday, May 11. Biographical info. and a photo must be submitted by Thursday, May 7 to meet publication deadlines. Contact rhonda.schaefer@hflcsd.org if interested.
HF-L Announces BOE Seat Release
Three of our nine board seats are to be filled in an election on June 9, 2020. The terms of board members Chris Neff, Caralyn Ross, and Amy West are set to expire on June 30, 2020. At this time, Mr. Neff, Mrs. Ross, and Mrs. West have announced their intention to run again.
The New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) has launched a new website entitled, The School Board Member Experience. For a complete overview and highlights of what to expect as a new board member, please visit the site and enjoy the experience!
