2018-19 Budget Information

Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School 2018-19 Budget Information Website

The District has benefited from its use of a robust program and budget planning process called, Quality Education Design (QED). Through the use of this process, which calls for the involvement of school staff and the community in all phases of planning, the District has improved its teaching and business practices to the point of recognition as a high performing school district with distinctive cost efficiency. More information about the QED process can be found below.

Public Budget Advisory Council (PBAC)

The PBAC includes community members, Board of Education members and District advisors who meet weekly from January through mid-March to review, offer feedback and make recommendations regarding all of the programs and services being recommended for the 2018-19 school year based upon feedback provided by the Decision Input Units (DIUs). The PBAC advises the District and Board of Education as to the strategic wisdom of program proposals, as well as the affordability of those proposals.

A Sound Return on Investment - Board of Education Operations

This budget season, we would like to share with the community some information about the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education and how it operates.

The school board is responsible for overseeing the school district's affairs, personnel, and property. As board members, we are stewards of both our children's education and of a taxpayer-funded budget. Board members are responsible for developing a shared vision and goals for the school district, assessing and accounting for student achievement, selecting and evaluating a superintendent, and advocating for the district's needs. We must make decisions on significant issues that affect the students and citizens of the district, communicate our actions to the community, and always focus on what is best for students.
