Update in the 2020-21 Instructional Calendar

Moving forward through the pandemic the elementary students and staff of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District have exceeded the state required hours and days for contact. Thanks to the progressive nature of our asynchronous learning days, the elimination of snow days, we have an opportunity to allow our elementary staff to prepare school for a return to normal in the 2021-22 school year. Therefore, the superintendent is recommending the last full day for students in grades K-5 be amended to Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

The last full work day for teaching staff remains Friday, June 25, 2021. The only change reflects the last day for students in grades K-5. Students in grades 6-12 will have modifications to the annual testing calendar to reflect every opportunity to bring the full class in-person, at least one time prior to the close of the instructional calendar on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

Update in the 2021-22 Instructional Calendar

Full re-opening in September 2021 should include all students and staff for in-person learning. Recognizing the unique challenges the school district faces in re-opening and training all staff, the superintendent recommends a change to the first day of school for students be amended from Tuesday, September 7th, to Wednesday, September 8th. September 7, 2021 will be a Superintendent’s Conference Day.
