I had worked a lot of different jobs over the years, never really finding a spot to call home or a place that I could set goals for the future. This district has allowed me to learn a large variety of new crafts over the years, and it has allowed me to become a more useful staff member. I am not limited to just one capacity and I love the variety to the work day that this provides. There is no comparison to the warm and inviting community that makes up this unique district. In hindsight I should have started 10 years sooner!

The willingness of everyone to go out of their way to help others within the District, regardless of the building they work in or the role they play in the District, is amazing. I regularly look for volunteers to help out in my classroom and am always able to find HS students, other teachers, administrators or Board of Education members stepping up to provide assistance! I think the small town connection is a really special part of the District.

I love that my job has diversity to it. Not only do I get to spend time every day wishing my coworkers good morning, I have also built relationships with people that work in the HF-L district but also with those in schools outside of the district. Being able to work in the community of HF-L has been a wonderful choice. The HF-L school district is a family, those who work here genuinely care about each other, their families and believing in helping each other succeed in their role with the District.
