HF-L to interview three finalists for Assistant Superintendent position.

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District is completing the process for selecting their new Assistant Superintendent for Instruction (ASI). The final interviews are the last step in a multi month search process to fill the redesigned Assistant Superintendent for Instruction role in the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District. In September of 2022, Superintendent Gene Mancuso hired Rock Hill Consulting Services, LLC to review and conduct research on recommendations for leadership in the areas of curriculum and instruction in HF-L schools.


With this report, that included case studies, data comparisons, and interviews with nearly sixty staff and community members a new job description was created, and the position was posted in December. After screening nearly twenty-one qualified candidates, a pool of seven semi-finalists were screened by two large district committees representing teachers, parents, administrators, and school board members.


Lindsay Ali, who is the Director of Pupil Personnel Services at HF-L, will interview on February 28th. Ali holds a degree in Business Marketing from John Carroll University, graduate work in Behavioral Analysis from Penn State, a master’s from Nazareth and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program in Educational Leadership at the University of Rochester. Ali’s resume includes time in the classroom in both North Carolina and New York. Ali has been an administrator in HF-L schools since 2016.


Dr. Kristin Larsen, who since 2014 has been the Director of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in the Fairport Central School District, will visit and be interviewed on March 1st. Larsen holds a degree from Northern Illinois University in Elementary Education, a master’s degree including both administration and education from SUNY College at Brockport, and a doctorate in curriculum, teaching, learning, and leadership from Northeastern. Larsen’s resume includes time in the classroom and in administration in numerous roles in both the City of Rochester and Fairport.


Lisa S. Clar, who since 2016 has been the Director of Mathematics K-12, Business, and CTE in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District will visit and be interviewed on March 2nd. Clar holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a master’s in education and administration from SUNY College at Brockport and has completed the superintendent’s development program through SUNY Oswego. Clar’s resume includes fifteen years with Eastman Kodak, teaching mathematics in Brockport, serving as an Instructional Technology Specialist with Monroe 2 BOCES and time as a curriculum administrator in both the Caledonia-Mumford and Rush-Henrietta school districts. 


At 3:15 PM on each day of their visit, each candidate will be available to meet and interact with the school community at an open forum held in the board of education room at  the HF-L High School.
