The HF-L Board of Education appointed Dr. Kristin Larsen as the new Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at the regularly scheduled board meeting on March 24, 2023. Larsen has been the Director of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in the Fairport Central School District since 2014. Her experiences include building level administrative experience at Fairport High School, and teaching and leadership experiences in the Rochester City School District.
Larsen who grew up in Illinois, holds degrees from Northern Illinois University in Elementary Education and a master’s degree including both administration and education from SUNY College at Brockport. Larsen also holds a doctorate in curriculum, teaching, learning and leadership from Northeastern.
Larsen will be joining the District at the beginning of the new school year on July 1, 2023.
