fuel island

31 August 2023

The Phase 3 Capital Project approved by voters in December of 2022 is under way. The first phase was the removal and replacement of the fuel island at the Operations Center (formerly the transportation department). The buried fuel tanks had met the end of their expected useful life. The new tanks will be above ground and are expected to be arrive on campus at the end of September.

A temporary fueling station for our fleet of school buses  and vehicles is already in use. With solid planning we are ready for school opening on September 6, 2023. The Phase 3 project https://www.hflcsd.org/page/ca... will be ongoing for the next several years. All other facilities will have work completed in the future.  For most of this school year, buildings will NOT be under construction or renovation.

The fuel island is expected to be completed prior to the end of October.
