The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District's budget process begins as early as December of every school year with the first formal board presentation taking place in January. The administration and Board of Education develop a budget that ensures the best possible programs and learning experiences to meet the needs of its students.
At the January 4, 2022 Board of Education meeting, the Board of Education and the Program Budget Advisory Committee had a chance to hear and review presentations from the Operations Center. The Operations Center includes both the Transportation and District’s Facilities departments. Both departments presented their requests for considerations in creating the 2022-2023 annual school operating budget that will be presented to voters on May 17, 2022. Under New York law the school budget vote and election occurs on the third Tuesday in May. The District also posts budget information, including PowerPoint presentations to the district website at www.hflcsd.org.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2022, and will include the first of the instructional program budget presentations, beginning with Lima Primary. All meetings of the school board are live-streamed on the District website.
