Congratulations to Dr. Kenneth Kreuzer on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Dr. Kreuzer was nominated by several students at the High School for making the music program in the high school a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He is an outstanding teacher who puts in lots of extra work to make sure the band is great. Dr. Kreuzer has been am amazing mentor throughout High School. Dr. Kreuzer has gone above and beyond in helping students grow as musicians. He has devoted so much time to finding amazing opportunities for us to perform within the community and has encouraged us to use our skills to bring joy to the people around us. He is a mentor to, not just for music, but for life in general and he has encouraged us to stay positive and persevere through any challenge.

Congratulations to Michael Ripple on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Ripple was nominated by Jean Boehm and son Ryan for being an understanding person and a great listener. Mr. Ripple has helped Ryan over the past three years to advocate for himself, strategize solutions to different social and academic issues, and grow in his ability to be flexible. Mr. Ripple was able to do this while making sure that Ryan stayed true to himself and his unique personality. His communication is excellent. As a parent, I always felt 'heard' by Mike and I never doubted his support of my son. I imagine he is that person for many friends, colleagues and students.

Well, it's official, Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow in front of thousands of spectators this morning at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. That means, according to the legend, we're in for an early spring.
This marks the first time since 2020 that Phil predicted an early spring.

If Punxsutawney Phil emerges from his burrow today and sees his shadow, he will retreat to his den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if he does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early.

Only two spots left for Driver's Ed that begins on Tuesday. Call Community Programs at 624-7068 to register.
