Congratulations to Joanne Gravelle on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Gravelle was nominated by Colleen Halbohn for being an amazing teacher. She leads with respect, humor, high expectations, and kindness all at once. Her classroom is lovingly called Gravelleville, and her valiant citizens (AKA students) are Gravellians. She inspires her students. When she dressed up as Rosie the Riveter back in October (dress like someone who inspires you day), TWO students dressed up as her! What an amazing testament to the impact she has on her students.

Congratulations to Linda Hossli on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Hossli was nominated by Anya Gilbert for working for decades as the Middle School Literacy Learning Lab teacher spanning all three grade levels over the course of her career. Her favorite word is "Joy" as is evident to anyone who has had the privilege to watch her teach a lesson. She really takes the time to get to know her students as individuals. She has a true talent for intermingling life lessons into her teaching curriculum. Her unwavering commitment, dedication, and devotion to her students is why she would make an excellent recipient of The Cougar Pride Award.

Congratulations to JoAnn Potter on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Potter was nominated by Holly Pavone for being the backbone of the Middle School Counseling Center! Without fail, she is patient and kind with every student who comes to the Counseling Center. Almost single handedly, she organizes the Angel Tree during the holiday season. It is no small feat and she does it seamlessly. We are fortunate to have her working with our students at HF-L!

Congratulations to Kasey W. on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Kasey was nominated by Jen Kirby & Becky McLane because of her outstanding studentship and kindness. Kasey works with the students in the Life Skills class during her study hall time. She pushes into the Adaptive PE class and goes above and beyond to establish rapport, model good athleticism and in general, be an incredible sweetheart and friend to other kids. Kasey seeks out these special students in the hallway, on the way to the buses and even in the community. She always has a kind word of encouragement and a smile. Kasey models COUGAR PRIDE in all that she does.

Congratulations to Bob and Joy Jennejohn on being recipients of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. The Jennejohn's were nominated by Brian Donohue for illustrating what Cougar Pride is all about. Although retired, Joy recently returned to the athletic office as the administrative assistant to sub for a maternity leave. Her dedication and commitment to our student athletes , coaches, and community is exemplar. She routinely goes above and beyond, often arriving to school early and bringing work home. Her willingness to give so much of herself to our district, for so long, is inspiring. Bob, also retired from full time employment, is a vital part of our transportation department. His availability and willingness to take athletic trips has allowed us to meet the demand of travel. He is a huge cougar fan, and will often send updates from the games he has driven teams to. When we use the phrase #WeAREHFL, we need to look no further than Bob and Joy JenneJohn to find evidence of who we are.
