The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District Board of Education has adopted Policy 3290, Operation of Motor-Driven Vehicles on District Property, clarifying where e-bikes and e-scooters are permitted on school grounds.

Under the policy, e-bikes and e-scooters may be used only in approved areas, such as roadways and parking lots. Riding e-bikes and e-scooters on sidewalks, paved pedestrian pathways, playgrounds and other non-approved areas of campus is prohibited.

Families are also reminded that New York State law prohibits anyone under age 16 from operating an e-bike or e-scooter.
